Some ppl may disagree but i think Hip-Hop and rap are two different genres.
Where do you stand and why?
For example:
-50 Cent (RAP) vs. Common (Hip-Hop)
-Soulja Boy (RAP) vs. Mos Def (Hip-Hop)
-Shawty Lo vs. Talib Kweli (Hip-Hop)
-Ying Yang Twins (RAP) vs. Wu-Tang Clan (Hip-Hop) *that would make a great fight* haha

well i agrre they're 2 different things but we may have 2 different concepts of wat they mean..2pac(rap)hardcore street type music...(hip hop)more of a loose lets talk about sex type thing

idk, its weird...i agree wit both ya'll.
i think Pac and biggie can dwell in both worlds.
It depends on which song.
The same goes bout Kanye in my opinion.
Some tracks are straight Hip-hop and sometimes....im like wait...this sound like a rap joint.
